This is extremely tame since there is no visible desperation, but I still thought some might be interested. The BBC were celebrating the 40th anniversary of their Breakfast Time programme today, and this can be seen at

Anyway, I remember the next day there was a write up in the paper, and Selina Scott (the woman in the grey dress with white collar) was saying that she didn't get a chance to pee since she left home at about 3am. There was a quote from her saying 'I am sure I will overcome this problem'', but she didn't make it clear if this would be by going to the toilet or by stretching her bladder.

Much later (perhaps a few years), right at the end of the programme, just before the credits, Frank Bough (the man in the brown sweater and pink tie) said something like 'We will have to finish now since Selina has been dying for the loo for ages', then the credits started and Selina left the studio while the cameras were still running (I wish a recording of this was available but I have never managed to find one). So she must have gone for the bladder stretching option, but even for the biggest bladder, it is a bit of an ask to hold it in for 6 or 7 hours every single day.

Although there is no visible desperation, I still find it exciting to know she held it in that long every day.

It is even better with no desperation signs, that shows all her strenght... but where in the programme can we find this woman, if you don't mind?

I should have been clearer, she was only in the clips from the first show 40 years ago. The first time you see her is in the middle at 2.30. There is also a nice clip of her drinking a glass of champagne at 41.10 (already heading towards 7 hours without a pee).

It would be really nice if they posted the whole first show, but I don't think they will do that.

Just look at the look on the umpire's face. Andy Murray has already been to the toilet once, but I'm assuming the umpire had to hold it in the whole time (the match was 6 hours). I wonder was she aching for a piss.
