Like when ILTB closed, Beachsome came in with a product that was similar, and perhaps even better, in some respects. And several other smaller sites came and went in short shrift...

I think the peropd was longer. at least it was in Denmark. It probably started in the early 70s and went on until as you indicate sometime in this century, when girls discovered that they were covered on the iltb site, and as another poster says, everyone had either iphones or longrange lenses on cameras, and it was easy to catch the topless girls. But that was a success that bit itself in the end.

They were fantastic days early on. They must still be on going in some countries or sites like beachsome couldn't exist.

BeachVoy closed permanently in summer 2023 and it looks like CandidFestivals closed in June 2024

I believe it's more because of a "Zeitgeist" thing, or the trend of the present time.
I remember a low-key campaign during the end of the first decade of the century against going at the beach topless in Italy, with physicians speaking about how harmful can sunbathing the nipples be, or fashion designers going like how better a triangular piece of fabric would look on the chest instead of a plain bare boob.
Nude beach goers wouldn't go about searching nudist videos on the internet, but then again, it WAS the advent of "Web 2.0" so they might as well have stumbled upon these videos by accident on streaming sites while watching some random porn.

Some of the shots seem to have used an extreme telephoto lens, like 600mm or more.
You can tell from the background/foreground that the shot is from far away. Either on a cliff top or distant point.
Others seem to have the camera enclosed in something like a beach bag. You see the cover encroach on the fame sometimes.
