Default Too Many Porta Potties.

So I guess the title says it all. Everything I've gone to has had porta potties everywhere, even on random streets away from the festival or concert or fair. As a woman I would think it would be easier for me to come across anything worth posting on here. But I've seriously tired and I can't even find puddles. I have haven't found napkins on the ground or any puddles in any parking lots or bushes near anything this year. I have even tried to convince women to go in an alleyway or doorway and they agree only to find a porta potty in the alleyway or doorway. It blows my mind. There might be 1 porta potty for every 10 people at a concert. So like 200 potties. I just went for a walk downtown, counted 60, the event was like 1000 people, that's like a potty for every 17 people.

Functionally there's never a line at all. But it's the random porta potties in the parking lot a mile away. They've though of everything.

The Age of Women Peeing in Public is gone as far as my area concerned.

Has anyone else noticed this issue?

Yes, I've definitely noticed that there appears to be more and more of them at outdoor events. I haven't had a sighting in months despite trying my best.
My guess is that when a license for an event is granted there's probably a minimum numbers of facilities the event organizer has to supply and the ratio just keeps getting smaller. Having said that, I have been to a few events where the queues for the portapotties are massive but people still insist on waiting in line.
Not sure what the answer is.....?

I've noticed a change but not in the number of bathrooms. The locations where I get my sightings have no more or fewer bathrooms than they did a few years ago where sightings reached their peak and it was basically a guarantee that any day I went out with nice weather, I would get at least one sighting. Now days it feels more up in the air. Some of these locations have no bathrooms at all, and the ones that do have just one bathroom while people disperse throughout the park, beach, etc. to remote areas where they're so far away from said bathroom that it might not as well not exist. And yet, way less sightings than in 2020-2022. My observation is that people just aren't peeing as much anymore. Like, I'll watch a group hang out for 3 hours and none of them go to pee. It's very strange. We need Smokey The Bear type messaging encouraging people to stay hydrated, lol.

Also most places in the world the rate of alcohol consumption among young people is dropping massively. Partly because of cost of living, partly health-related, partly large cultural changes. In most places alcohol consumption is less than half what it was at its international peak in the 90s - UK, USA, Canada, Japan, Europe, Australia/NZ all showing similar stats.

I travel around NY mostly.

As far as I'm aware the reason here is mostly about trash. Where people pee, they also leave empty beer cans and bottles not to mention tissue might degrade, but wet wipes don't.

That's my guess.
