Reposts are fine since that seems to address the problem of files being brought down periodically. The thing which I personally hate with all my heart is the renaming of files.

I think there's two sides to that story.

Speaking for myself only: I was enormously tired - with all my heart, to quote you - of having to re-up and then re-up and then re-up again. So I renamed the files (but kept the numbers), because it was my belief that they'd have more longevity, if all the company sharks did was to search for their own filenames being posted in the various fora.

I did this with both the iltb and bs videos. If people visited the respective update pages they were then able to find the original file names and only had to rename them back themselves. A small sacrifice surely.

I think that worked for a while, but then the sharks perhaps searched more diligently and found the renamed videos in the separate threads. And then the files were removed.

So I hoped that the ones who had downloaded - and believe you me there are several hundreds who do - would then upload for the sake of those who came later. But it almost never happened!
