Sorry for posting two posts in a row but i have a solution for this.
If you're using Firefox you should install a plug-in called Greasemonkey which allows for custom scripts. I've found one that makes all media expanded by default with the Twitter engine. Should save some time.

EDIT: And then you can combine it with
this one that will allow for instagram pictures to be viewed directly in Twitter just as before. That one isn't 100% though, some pics doesn't show for some reason. But it's better that you don't have to click on 75% of the pics instead of every pic to see if it's interesting or not.
