She looks like a lovely lady to me. Possibly she is cowed by today's society view that if you're a BBW you should just pull a sack over your head and hide yourself away!
Perhaps with a little encouragement and praise she might evolve from her self perceived " Ugly Duckling " into the Beautiful Elegant Swan that she truly is.
