Don't get me wrong, I love Open Source WebM/VP8, but sadly no broad support for it (for example iOS).

actually what i wrote was not correct.. h264 is better codec (source) than VP8,, but MUCH depend on encoder used and setting of that encoder.. some average codec with great encoder can have better quality than great codec with poor encoder. even same codec can give both good and bad result with different encoders setting...

my interest only in having highest quality possible videos! more chance to see pee stream and pussy!!!

yes VP8 have poor support and VP9 worse, but easily convert to other format anyway - many "video converter" software out theer. better to having highest quality source video right?

and I found,, youtube is not consistant

YT started using VP9 now with good encoder,,, but no way to tell whether MKV have VP8 or VP9 except with download it...

exampel 1:

, VP8 (MKV) version having best quality but difference not big.
exampel 2:

this video

,,, VP9 (MKV) version is very much better quality than H246 (MP4) version,, even though both nearly same file size (MKV version include audio but MP4 have not,, so file size is closer than seem).
exampel 3:

this one

have only choice of MP4 at "large" (480p) size,, so H264 win this... but "medium" MKV (VP9) version is close quality,, even having nearly half file size, audio included and lower resolution!

so YT is having poor H264 encoder settings. so if quality your concern on youtube,, get MKV version where file size close, unless there exist higher resolution MP4 version. if not sure,,, download both version pause on same frame and you can compare quality!
