I note you are very concerned about the quality of streaming media saves. Which programs or methods do you recommend as being the best for that purpose?

Currently I use Video DownloadHelper, Ant.com video downloader, and 4K Video Downloader.

I am thinking about setting up youtube-dl on my computer.

I also use 4k Video Downloader external app (typically checking all formats because sometimes mkv can be ripped higher than mp4, and vice versa; I often find 4k 8k versions of 1080p videos) and 'Video Download Helper' addon.

I also have 'Video Downloader Professional' addon which is very useful on sites like vk.com and tokyomotion, offering me rips in high quality where both other apps have failed me. It works best if you open the videos in their own window to help make results easier to sort out.

I think the more we work together the better overall our results will be for everyone, regardless of their tastes in content.

I use JDownloader for all YT videos, it lets you choose what to DL whether audio only, video only, and video quality. It also pulls videos from motherless, liveleak, instagram, pornhub, and a whole host of others.

Though I primarily use it for cloud hosting links for movies and tv shows.
